Train tracks revisited.
This is a photo project I've started with a couple of friends over the course of our Winter break. I'm planning on making a visually interesting photo every day while away from school. It doesn't have to be anything spectacular, I just want to show that I'm keeping my eyes open, and it's a way to see what my friends are seeing each day. If you've found this blog, I hope you enjoy the images.

Finding Comfort
A hero returned home today. He was a Marine, but to me he will always be my best friend, Mr. Scott. And that's what will be in my memory and shine through my heart as long as I live.
I could go on and on about him because he was an exceptional person, but I won't. I know he was a hero because it truly was a part of his nature to strive to be and do his best at whatever he did. So it is no surprise that he is a hero, because he's always been.
I picked up a book I had given Luke to read because after I read it, it changed me. And since it meant so much to me I needed to share it with someone, and so I gave it to my closest friend. Below is a picture of him and I before going to the Renaissance Festival. With it is a page of that book with a quote that gives me comfort:
"Don't be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends."

Reflection
No photo of the day today. I learned today that my best friend and brother who was serving in Afghanistan was killed in action, and so today has been a day of reflection and remembrance to one of the most important people in my life, and my dearest friend. I will always miss you, but I will never forget you.
Carry on, my wayward friend, carry on!

November 27th: Spending Time
I got a little side tracked and haven't posted my pictures for the past few days, but here they are:

A few days ago I took a walk with my cousin in search for a field of cows to get a picture for my friend. We didn't find any cows but I got to spend some time with my cousin who I don't get to see that often.
